I actually had a used 1027 drum with me that just had a thin line on it.
I swapped it in to test and it had the thin line plus all the dots.

There is no longer any "New" type 1027 PCU from Ricoh. Ricoh went to selling rebuilt Type 1027 a couple of years to meet the demand created by lazy techs using them instead of rebuilding those for later models.

That is a good point which is why I tried a second unit just in case.

hello, the counter page is printed in a4 or a4-R (LTR or Ltr - R), did the unit you replace contain a new developer?

After looking at the counter sheet solid triangle, I see that there are white spots on it indicating to me contaminated developer.

LTR and yes it had new developer and as I mentioned I tried another used unit with only a line but no dots, and it too had dots when placed in this machine.

    I noticed that too.
I’m going back and will pull this drum unit and try it in a known working machine.

..and then friend the only solution and disassemble it, it's so easy and fast, and replace the components one at a time, and try, even the frames! separately, even the black plastic part that electrically connects the charge roller, once a colleague has unsoldered the ball that is inside and I don't remember exactly, but it was a strange defect
