Ricoh MP 2554 shows copying forever

Machine comes ready to hit the copy button it says copying and doesn’t do anything else. Every so often a copy will come out but it keeps saying copying even after the document comes out if you try to do more than one it’ll just do one is a copying and never goes to another screen. I’m thinking it’s probably a firmware issue someone could help me out with the firmware for that model It be appreciated.

Could also be a memory issue. Power the machine off, unplug it, and then turn the power button back on: this will flush out any residual charge left in the RAM and clear anything still in it. Also try re-seating the DIMMs.

It's been a few years back, but I believe this used to occur on another model (I do not remember which one), and the fix was a HDD replacement.

    Agree Mika.
That's the first thing I'd try too. My question is why has the poster apparently tried Nothing?!
Disconnect the drive and see if basic functionality is restored. If so, replace HDD as suggested

Another in the 'look at the HDD' camp.
