Check for dirty/clogged vent filters.
I have had a few failed engine boards leading to fan related SC's, usually from the failure of the fan initially. I did have a more persistent one where the PSU needed to be replaced as well. The engine board failed a second time shortly after the fan and first replacement engine boards were installed. Overall this hasn't been a really common issuein my fleet.
Have you reseated all of the connections from the fans all the way back to the board?
Same. Bad clogged fans lock up and back feed to the board. Have seen it not just on this model. Had a controller board fan on a MP C5501 blow a controller board once. I try to always hit the filters and fans with a vacuum at least every pm if possible.

Thanks for the reply's people given me food for thought, as all fans replaced will try engine board route and let you know what happened cheers.
i work on a lot of old shht and at 950k swoop in and upgrade.......make ur job easier...............even a used low meter unit
I always acted like Norm ON THIS OLD HOUSE: trying to keep machine running forever but
in the real world most customers are happy with 5 yrs and know it they ran it hard......
OR just start running up boards and labor.............
Just an update seems to be stable now after fitting EGB so probs old fans have caused issues with EGB. Thanks
