    Pro C5110 Jamming on Cardstock

Hey guys, I have a Pro C5110 thats just been a headache. It's been jamming on everything but 20lb on trays #2/#3.. The bypass has been running fine even though i have to put a piece of tape on the left corner to keep it from sagging from the heavy cardsotck ( i have a new door on order). I keep getting a J-004 @ A1 on both trays. the cardstock will feed maybe 1/2 inch and stop ( 12x18 ). no matter what tray the outcome is the same. Feed rollers have been replaced and the feed solenoids are triggering in SP mode.. What gives??

According to the jam code table in the North America service manual, J004 does not exist. Judging from SP 7504-004 J004 would be for those locations where there are 4 trays in the main frame and no tandem tray. If you are from one of those areas, you need to complete all the information in your profile.

No as this unit is "new" to the customer. Also it doesnt matter the Weight. Its doing it on 60-110lb.. The main used stock is 80lb Cover.

J001 is described as a jam found at power on. It is also a jam found when a jam door is closed. My guess is that the heavier paper coming out of paper tray 2 or 3 is putting enough pressure against the vertical transport unit that the interlock switch is momentarily indicating that the vertical transport has been opened.

Thought of that and I've tried putting a little pressure on the door and still same jam

there are two springs that press on the rollers ensuring cushioning when the paper passes, which pressure is certainly not higher than the spring that keeps the conveyor locked. clean the feed and register unit sensors.

The vert unit does have a door that has spring loaded roller that presses against it. The paper isnt making it nowhere near the unit. Paper sticks out maybe a inch out of the feed head on both trays

Then there a push button interlock switch that is loosing contact due to vibration from trying to feed card stock.
