After putting in a referbished F.U. + done the reset procedure (new unit cheat with a switch plugged in the F.U. connector) it makes no difference at all. The developerbox is over its lifetime, so it will be replaced soon.

Not to hijack the thread but I've been to a partner invitation for introducing a new line of their products and one of the speaker considers himself as an "ethical hacker".
He tried to hack a Ricoh device by using the PJL on a word document then was able to control the printer and penetrate within the system.
Though it was a demo, I was surprised it is possible.
Back to the topic, machine has a setting in SP mode for reaching the temperature for it to start printing. fusing ready temp as far as i remember.

Just a suggestion.
Check the resolution for copies and prints.
1,200 dpi takes quite a bit longer than 600dpi.
Only a thought could be this
Switch to this mode to enhance noise reduction.
In silent mode, scanning and copying/printing is slower than usual.
- Press [Home] () at the bottom of the screen in the center.
- Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] () icon.
- Press [Machine Features].
- Press [System Settings].
- Check that [General Features] is selected.
- Press [Silent Mode].
- Press [On].
- Press [OK].
- Press [Exit].
- Press [User Tools] () on the top right of the screen.
- Press [Home] () at the bottom of the screen in the center.

Well, i is not clear if the problem is still there.
Customer is not complaining.
I think it went away automatically or perhaps the fusing reset did it.
