Anybody have any luck getting the paper to not get bunched up when paper is exited around the back and below machine.

Nope never. Crappy design that never really worked. The pages never stack correctly or pile up on each other.

I was hoping for some kind of magical solution.

Any of my customers who have the machine exit the rear has some sort of rack or catch system that they have constructed. I've built a couple of catch racks myself but it all depends on how much space you're working with. Wish I had pictures but most of those customers have been upgraded.

They don't have room. I had Kip 7100 that did the same thing until the customer got an attachment called a stacker. I guess it's just bad design all the way around.

Yeah I agree the top exit sucks for large print jobs and the rear bottom exit just doesn't work well at all. I have quite a few of the MPW 6700 and they are great machines and the front exit stacks really well. Hopefully you can reach some kind of compromise with your customer. Good luck.

Bottom exit really only works with larger sizes, prints in the 36"x48" range. Can't say I have any customers using the lower exit at all, almost certainly due to the lower exit not performing well.

This is absolutely correct. I would hate to be the engineer that signed off on the paper catch tray system on this model. My own customer worked with it for a while before he came up with something that actually worked.Sad.
