    MP2555 fusing issue

    Hi All, been a while
I'm having an issue with a MP2555 where the last 1cm of the print (LEF) isn't fusing correctly and then deposits that bit of toner on the second page about an inch in from the lead edge. This issue was happening over a larger area of the page when the original tech attended, so he replaced all the fusing and PDCU parts a week ago.
All temps look good and not tampered with.
    Thanks in advance

What sort of coverage is it? Are you using original toner? Have you tried setting the trays to a thick paper setting to ensure the machine slows down if coverage is overly heavy on thinner media?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

On occasion I am known to ask a good one.

    Re: MP2555 fusing issue

From my experiences this what I would do next if you say that have already changed fuser and PCDU parts...

If you could scan a copy of what it's doing that would help

But based only on the information you have given I would say that the other guys have covered most of the causes of the faults.

Toner looks like the culprit! Check if it original. And if it is don't completely rule out that the toner is at fault, it could still be from a bad batch.

Other than that I would say check your fusing temperature, either drop it or raise it by 20°. Also check if fuser idling is on.

Also (this is a long shot) try changing your paper to a different brand. Open a brand new sealed pack. Just to eliminate if there's a paper problem.

Besides that I think the other guys covered everything.

    All the best ..

When you say the tech replace all the fusing parts, I'd be interested to know what parts were replaced, maybe not everything in the fuser was replaced.

could be that the pressure roller is not contacting the hot roller because the ball bearings of the PR is not in proper place.
