I have one giving me the service code sc231. F gate error. Manual says replace BCU Or controller boards. Its usually something else causing the issue besides the boards. I have never had this code on this model before. Any suggestions? Thanks for any input.

Check and reseat all your connectors to your BCU and controller. I have had that work for me. I have also replaced the laser LD unit to fix the same SC on a different machine.

The first thing the manual says is to check the connection between the controller board and the BICU.

I had an F Gate related SC some time ago and it ended up being the laser sync detector had gone flakey.
