    Re: Wireless printing (im series)

Hi. The wifi you are talking about is that of the operation panel.
It practically works "well" only when the panel is turned on. When the machine goes into standby, the wifi practically is off.
In fact, there is the "wireless interface" option, but given its cost, a wifi extender is the best solution.

    Re: Wireless printing (im series)

Machine is already connected to the access point. I try to ping the IP address assigned but the TTL=64ms. The web image monitor is not showing when using the browser. Using the Ricoh connector, machine is detected but not able to print. The green light just blinked then gone. there is no user authentication set to the machine. Any ideas where the problem is?

Just because there are no users setup, do not assume that user authentication is not enabled for the print function. Also make sure that IEEE 802.11x is not turned ON. It is only for for Ricoh's over priced internal wireless card and for high end authentication like Kerberos.

    Re: Wireless printing (im series)

I bring my own wireless router and put it beside the machine.

    Steps i have done...

enabled the wifi features of the machine

    user tools>screen features> interface settings>wifi network.

    Connect to the WIFI

search the SSID (Homebroadband) and connect

Set the static IP address (192.168.1.5) in advanced options.

Can I ping the IP address? Yes, TTL=64

MY android mobile is also connected to Homebroadband.

Now, I want to print through Ricoh connnector.

Open the app>add machine>add by IP address (192.168.1.5)

    SEARCHING FAILED.

Am i doing the right procedure in configuring wireless printing? Is there anything that I have missed?

In my experience, the wifi adapter that incorporates the "IM" (or earlier) models have a very unoptimized and unoptimized configuration.
As one colleague has said before, you'd better book that connection for mobile device use using the APP provided by RICOH.

I usually recommend to all customers, that the device pays more efficiently if it has wired connection, towards the router directly.

ricoh stupid wifi design.....ricoh SOP wifi print and scan only work with direct connect, and it wont print or scan through other wifi connection.

if u want to print throught ricoh connector or older version like ricoh smartprint scan, use wifi extender or AP and connect to machine LAN using cable, just work like wifi copier.
