C4504ex SC272-01, 272-02, 670-02 first thing in AM

Hi guys,

MPC4504ex, pops any one of these codes just about every day around 6:30am. 670-02, 272-01, 272-02.

Replaced BCU board, IPU board, BCU-IPU harness and ribbon cable, LDB-IPU harnesses, and all firmware is up to date.

I also changed SP5191 for STR mode.

I changed the laser unit, also both 50-pin ribbon cables coming off the BCU. The client continued to call in for the error, so we replaced the machine with a loaner which has not given them any problems yet. I am trying to troubleshoot the machine in our office, but I can wake it up from sleep mode with a print job no problem. We have spoken to Ricoh tech support as well as our board repair vendor. Both have suggested all kinds of things, and we have been following their instructions in the things we have replaced so far.

It seems 670-02 is the main code, and the 272 codes will sometimes appear alongside, but not all the time.

What else is happening at the customer location at 6:30am? What does the overnight temperature drop to in the room where the C4504 is located? What is the overnight humidity in the room?

I have seen ITB belts slip on their assembly when the machine is cold in the morning due to overnight metal contraction of the assembly and/or moisture condensation film on the inside of the belt. Anti condensation heaters might be called for.
