Somewhere in SP mode you should be able to find "Force Line Adjust". I can't remember off the top of my head where it is, or if it's in regular or special SP mode. If you can't find it, you can always pull out the "Birth Certificate" and manually key in those settings.
That void in the magenta might be your problem. It appears to be roughly where one of the ID sensor assembly elements is. Things to check are laser shield glass, dirty magenta doctor blade or laser shutter. As long as that void is there, process cannot see the magenta patches used for color registration. Once that void is corrected and power is cycled, the color alignment might self correct.
Hi, I haven't an IMC300 available in our shop but the procedure should be this:
- Do the "Forced line position adjustment" as follows.
First do SP 2 111 003 (Mode c),
Then do SP 2 111 002 (Mode b),
Then do SP 2 111 001 (Mode a),
- Execute SP 2 111 004 (Mode d) and check whether the value for each color is within the range of ± 5 on the SP below.
SP2 117 004 (K)
SP2 117 002 (C)
SP2 117 001 (M)
SP2 117 003 (Y)
The Color Registration (Color Skew Adjustment) should be executed if one or more of the above SP values is not within ±5.
No Color Skew Adjustment is required if all SP values are within ±5.
Yeh I second that, you have to clear the magenta void first before doing anything. Very annoying to have to mess around with stuff on a machine fresh out the box, if there is a problem with dev, either sort it out or warranty it depending on your available time (or curiosity on a new machine). Could be some on laser glass etc so worth cleaning. Then after sorting out colour move onto colour registration, upon failuer try forced line adjust SP 2-111-XXX. I think you are meant to do in reverse order D, C, B, A but I would definitely check on that first because I hear different variations from different people.
Also worth noting on these machines is that the fuser fan is very loud naturally and runs constantly while machine is not in sleep mode. In a quiet office I would suggest putting on maybe 5 minute sleep timer or something.
My only IMC 300 had a call out because they said it was running so loud, when I got there they said it randomly just didn't go to sleep for hours despite nobody using it and no slow print spools. It has a new package firmware out last week, which you should put on. It didn't have anything in there relating to power saving system but maybe it fixes that annoying little glitch.
