Hi guys I have a ricoh M2700 fully brand new imported from china the machine do not work Legal size(8.5 x 14)properly . when the press start key for legal size paper from tray, the scanner lamp scan not over A4 (R) margin. I also paper size set but do not work.

could be due to the region the machine is set for.. please print SMB report.. upload a PDF version on the pages here.

was it pre initialized before you got it?

who set it up there?

does is not copy?

does it error out ?

what EXACTLY does it "not do"

are you a trained ricoh tech?

I'm assuming that this machine is similar to the MP 2501??

Like Phil says, check the region for paper size , SP 5-131-001.
Also check SP 5-807-001, and set that to the correct area.

EDIT: you may also look into SP 6-016 - Original size detect setting.
