I used the 1027 OEM units.
Going there tomorrow and will try the suggestions. Will report back with what I found.

I hate those drums and am glad i and my lungs dont do nor see them anymore..
toner dumpamatics..........
it is the one machine you need your shop vac to service..

As others have suggested, the toner hopper assembly is likely leaking. I have found a really thorough cleaning is required to avoid other issues following a dumping hopper. I usually go as far as removing the laser assembly and right hand door assembly to get access to areas you will not otherwise be able to reach. If you don't bother, then the toner left behind will come back to haunt you in the future.

I AGREE pulling laser unit,blowing out fan,taking the drum mylar and cleaning it with water not windex or chemicals.
I also try to reform that mylar back to where drum seals tight..
The big issue is the dev unit has no room for change..
Once drum gets weak dev unit will over compensate and dump toner
into the dev chamber which has no room..then it goes everywhere where it should not...............
