Does anyone know if the scanner ribbon cable is common to any other models. I have a 2503 in the shop I can “borrow” one from if it is the same.

You can back it up in SP to a SD card or in WIM to a computer. The company I worked for taught key customer operstors how to back up in WIM and recommended that they do it any time they make changes to the address book. With most current models once backed up in WIM it can be restored to any machine. Handy when you have a customer with multiple machine and want the same address book on each.

I have had this happen before once or twice and I believe it was the ribbon cable both times. (One time had an obvious crack in it once you got a look at it).

When trying to make a copy of something on the glass, watch to see if the light cuts out perhaps when it is supposed to be on for scanning. Pretty much tells you the ribbon cable has a crack in it someplace.

Re: Ricoh MP C3003 sc101-01 when copying from glass

So I “borrowed” the ribbon cable for the scanner from another working machine and that certainly seems to have resolved the issue but I was told from 2 different vendors that the ribbon cable is not available.
Possibly am I using the wrong part number D1495201. If anyone knows please set me straight. Thanks
