By pass tray locked

I have mpc4502 with a key lock on by pass .. can't use it ..
How do I unlock it ..?

if its like the mpc5503 in paper tray setting you set tray to auto paper select I believe

User tools --> System Settings --> Tray Paper settings --> go down one page and select "Bypass Paper Type" --> Right-bottom hand corner Select YES for "Apply auto paper select".

Are you meaning that someone actually installed a physical locking device on the bypass tray. If so, you may need to get a locksmith to pick it or drill it out for you.

Try turning the key. It used to work when I played Zork.

All this means is that the tray will not be selected during auto-tray select. You can still manually choose the tray through the printer driver and copy screen.

Most of the time the bypass tray is used for unusual paper types, so it comes pre-'locked'.

No, if the lock key is on , I can't use it at all .. it will stop and says jams ..
It is all good now ..
I set it to "Auto paper select"
