Well I resolved my issue. Its not the correct way but its does work! Since i have an identical unit in the field I used it to help me.
1) downloaded the NVRAM data from the unit in the field. I also download the NVRAM from the bad unit just as a backup.
2) I changed the NVRAM data name from the field unit so it matches the shop unit.
3) downloaded the NVRAM data from old unit to bad. Formatted HDD and boom baby! backin business.
Im guessing the proper way to fix the issues would be getting a new NVRAM from ricoh but you know.
