Lanier MP C2504ex Toner Blasting

I have a problem with it spraying toner like the 03 Series machines were doing. I havent seen any bulletins on this series of machines for this issue. It will say the toner cartridge isnt set I take it apart and clean the toner contact board and vacuim out the area around the toner hopper. Updated the firmware but it still comes back after a few weeks. Anyone have issues like this with this series of machines?

Had same problem with a Mpc2004, change toner hoper... Toner stucks inside the hopper

Hi there!
1+ on Codex. The METIS-20ies have another toner then the rest - the hopper get clumpsy, cleaning last not very long often broken parts.

+1 also don't use cheap toner and check transfer cleaning and waste

There's two different solutions for a similar issues.

Toner not set or toner empty

Toner not set is either a faulty toner cartridge RFID chip or the BRB pcb in the machine.

Toner empty is either a failed developer unit or toner hopper.

What color toner is spraying? Or is it all of them?
If it's yellow all over, then your issue is probably the ITB unit. Roller on the left side that sits almost above yellow drum has bushings that get egged out, and that roller sits lower than normal and "pulls" toner from the yellow unit onto the belt.

It is the Black Unit I only use OEM Toner

Replace new oem Black dev assy think its pm is 120k
I would do pcu and dev assy and set as new unit so will setup properly
And give the machine a got vacout also clean id sensors

This is one thing that is not mentioned enough on the forum. Cleaning the density sensors will solve many CQ issues, including overtoning. It should be the first thing a tech does before digging into the other possible causes.
