    MPC2503 slightly red glow . . .

    Hi,

When making a color copy or color print there is a minimum slightly red glow/background !
I've already changed the PCU and the Developer unit Magente for a new one.

Still, but less then before, a small glowing red background in the color mode.
Mostley this sort problems are solved by changing the M unit, not now . .

Any Ideas? High voltage? ITB? Contacts?
    soon will be visting customer.

    Thanks in advance

    Is it an even background?

When replacing the PCU did you re-attach the rear plate? If this is missing it can cause a background to appear.
Also, make sure you enter the coefficient of the new drum in SP2-005-237.

It is easy to miss these two, even after fitting these drums a hundred times.

If the problem persists between different drum units, perhaps a shading error?
Make sure the white reference, optics, and laser are cleaned. Perform a memory clear on Printer Application, to reset the ACC, then re-perform the ACC and do a test print. If that looks good, do the same with the Copier Application, but make sure you take note of their Copier settings first.

If you get a chance, either print off the Printer SP colour test pattern, or get the customer to, and post it here.

Did not do the SP2-005-237 input, easy to miss as you said
But I've heard that when you change the drum together with the developer the input is not necessary?

Did the problem start before or after you replaced the Magenta PCDU?
