    MPC3003 only waiting display . .

    Hi,

strange thing here, customer called for a display that freezes on " still waiting"
Machine did not shut off, only when holding the shut off button for more then 5sec

Replaced the controll board, swapped the NVRAM, did not the 5824 because of the freez

Now the machine is coming on ready, but after 10sec it generates a SC995-01
When I look at 5811, there are 2 options; 5811-02 and 5811-04 , both given the right seriel nm
Also checked the 5985, NIC and USB are on '1'

did try to swap the Bicu that belonged to the controller board, but same results.
    Finally, after 2 hours of swetting I left . . . .

What is going wrong here ?
    any tips?

    Thanks in advance

I have had that "waiting" indication a few times over the years on different models where the machine is locked up, and it was always the HDD.

    Agree, but no waiting anymore, just the SC995-01 . . . .

I would put all the original boards back on including the correct eprom on the bicu and nvram. Then just replace new hdd

Ran into the 995 the other day on an 04' series. Ended up needing a main controller. Even tested a working main controller in the machine and it would not work. New board worked fine. Put the 995 board back in the original machine and it also worked fine.

Another suggestion... check all paper cassettes, take them all out and have a look inside to all trays for paper leftovers. Same issue two time with squeezed paper in tray 2 arround cassette sensors. Good luck.

Yes this all day. Has happened to me twice.... Replaced boards and all kinds of stuff. There was a certain firmware (can't remember which one) that had a bug and this is the symptom if the trays are over filled or have paper stuck in the mechanism... I would look at the paper trays and if you find that just put all the boards back and then should (fingers crossed) be back to normal. Then if it is fixed, do a full firmware update...
