Card reader not working on Ricoh MPC306Z
Hi All.
I have a card reader on a Ricoh MPC306.
I have set 5-844-100 setting the value to 1 (I was getting a warning in the web interface of an incompatible connected USB device) Setting this to 1 cleared the message.
Connected to Papercut
The card reader just beeps.
Tested the card reader on laptop and it prints out the card number just fine in notepad.
Any ideas ?
Regards
Colin

Hi,
What exact reader you are using? Model? Is this reader works as HID (keyboard mode)? Where did you pulged it Front or Back of the machine.
Also check card reader/autentication device setting as described here:
Changing the Card Reader Settings

You'll always get that message until the app you want to use is setup and configured.
You might also need to Vendor ID and Hardware ID entered in user tools. System settings, General, page 2, Program Change USB/Device list
For example. If you install the card reader prior to the Papercut client on the copier and even if you have installed the Papercut client but not configured the card auth method in Papercut, you'll see that message.
Its not an error just an early config message
