Would be nice to know what the fix was, it could help someone else.

Actually the problem is MP4000 machine can't power ON, when i try power ON its just one blink comes up on the control panel green light after the automatically iys off, then i try with another power supply board but still same problem happend then open back side cover i saw there is one board on the backside of the scanner section its name called SBU board all the connections are cut by someone may be rat or something so i replaced all the Connectors then its working fine. yup mice can cause MAJOR havoc in a copier.. have seem image probs due to a dead mice in the scanner section.. they chew thru wires in NAY heat generating areas.

Congrats on tracking down the CAUSE of the issue. (needs a mutimeter0

If you are a indy tech I would Charge .. make notes in that user's file and Flag them about suggestions:

    1) If rodent problem is FIXED , future service calls with incur further charges if proven to be rodent damages.

    a (C)over (Y)our (A) charge .. make it stiff IF they don't comply.

    2) text the out put of the LVPS with Manual..

    3) test the harnesses for continuity.. could be a cut/pinched wire in the harness with manual

    get back with us please
