Can't believe you guys are still talking about this
Firmware for the larger copier companies should only be available credited service engineers with has login details for the manufacturer sites but what engineers do with it that's up to them.
What I find with this site if you are nice and friendly you will get on a lot better with user and if they want to help they should pm you or you them just to keep talking about firmware as I believe the manufacturers look at this site aswell I do ricoh & Canon guys do

Here's an idea, just enable SMB 1 on your server and your done !
Not too big of a deal, you can just turn SMBv1 back on when you go to remove those damn IPP class drivers that they install with each update. /s
EDIT: For those not aware, /s is sarcasm, do not turn on SMBv1.

I have very few clients using SMB for scanning email is a much easier method to maintain once set up. It’s very simple for the end user to add/remove email addresses in the address book.
