Ricoh mpc 3001 with lcd screen not lighting up just various red and green indicators

If you can access WIM see if there is an SC 202 polygon mirror motor error. You can also shine a flashlight at an angle across the display. Polygon mirror motor failure has taken out the BICU. Replace both the polygon mirror motor and BICU at the same time.

Thanks but I have since had it confirmed that it is probably the BICU board and Polygon mirror by someone who has had this before.Cheers

I did not want to take it from a working machine though so I am trying to get that one going, but it says insert cyan and magenta photoconductors even when I change the drums. any ideas on this one my friend? Hope you dont mind answering again or shall I post it seperately?

Have you changed the polygon and BICU yet? If so check all the connectors to make sure all are connected correctly.

Hi Polar bear, I have no BICU or Polygon so I started on another mpc3001 but this machine says insert cyan and magenta photoconductors even when I change the drums. any ideas on this one my friend? I have tried other drums and cleaned the connector at the back.
