Ricoh MP C4502 Error Code SC362.00

    Good morning techs,
I have a client that just called claiming he replaced the black OEM toner on his Ricoh C4502 machine, and after 20 prints the error code SC362.00 showed up. I've read on here it could be firmware, bad toner cartridge, Toner Sensor bad reading between other issues. Is there anything else I should consider checking when I'm on site as I'll be heading over there tomorrow?
Thank you very much all for the the help!

There is no SC362.00. Maybe you mean SC363-001 TD sensor (Vt low) error 2: K. The term OEM to me means after market. Ricoh labels their toners Genuine Ricoh. OEM only means that it contains the same basic components. It does not mean the same quality or quantity as a Genuine Ricoh toner.

I would say that the OEM toner has clogged the black(K) toner supply system. If so you will need to replace the black toner pump assemble to include the hose, which should come with the pump if you order the current part number from Ricoh. You may also need to replace the black toner nozzle. If the customer got the OEM toner from someone other than you, IT IS A CHARGE REPAIR.

I probably should've said genuine, I just called him and he says it's genuine Ricoh toner however you are correct he did not buy it from me as this is a new client. I'll inspect closely the pump and clean the hose as I've done this on other models and take a close look at the nozzle. Thank you very much for your reply!
