Ricoh PROC5200s with Adjusting fusing temperature on display

    Hi Guys,

I have a Proc5200s with "adjusting fusing temperature" appearing on display intermittently, frustrates customer as they have to wait.

Only done around 100k colour, 60k Mono. Have replaced all exhaust fan filters and Ozone filters. Also firmware has been updated to latest levels.

Anybody seen this or has any ideas?

    Thanks

Normal operation I'm afraid, the Pro C7100 does the same thing as well, just the machine readying or changing the fuser temperature according to the media settings.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Try using another paper catalog entry or set the drawer to manual paper setting to see if any change. If that doesn't help, see if there are settings in SP mode for standby fuser temp.

The next job in queue requires a different fusing temperature To insure constant quality the Pro C5200 adjusts to the new temperature prior to starting the job.

This can also happen more frequently when the fuser belt is in poor condition or has greatly exceeded its PM life. make sure you clean the thermistors while its apart as they always have gunk on them.
