There are a few files that are added to the card when installed. There is a thread from a few years ago that gives the name and folder location of the files that need to be deleted.

    That's Correct Tim.
Open the SD card and delete the ZOFFYx files in each of the 2 folders and the card is basically new again.
It's only necessary to do that if postscript has actually been installed onto the machine. If it has simply been inserted in the SD slot for use, it can be moved from machine to machine without issue

Note that on the newer machines with emulation that installing the genuine PS option appears to remove emulation entirely. You end up having to reinstall firmware to restore emulation. Just an FYI should you decide to do a test drive / comparison of emulation vs genuine on a machine. We have seen this with newly deployed demo units.

If you just put card into machine and not register to device you can use in other machine but then the 1st machine will not have ps3. If you register ps3 to 1st device then remove and pass in 2nd device you have message saying software all ready been registered on other device but it will still work if buying used buy unregistered

    Re: Postscript Emulation

We have a local church that has a fleet of MPC4504ex machines and also a fleet of Macs.
For their Graphics Arts dept we installed the PS3 kit but for the rest of their machines we just left them with emulated PS and it seems to work just fine for them.
It's been 2 years with little to no issues.
