At a computer on their network, Open the command prompt and type ipconfig /all
This will pull up the IP of their computer (ex 192.168.2.10), the Subnet Mask (ex 255.255.255.0) of their network, and their Gateway ( ex 192.168.2.1).
Then choose a much higher IP to assign to the Ricoh (don't plug it in yet) ex. 192.168.2.90
On the computer, do a ping test in the command prompt...type ping 192.168.2.90 (enter)
If you get NO reply, the IP address is open. Go ahead and configure the Ricoh on that static IP (ex. 192.168.2.90)

Check if someone changed the default port from 9100 to somewhat else... You can check it from WIM or printing network configuration

Just a thought....
while at the customer, remove the network cable from the machine port, and check the pins with a torch. We had it before, when someone tried to plug a usb cable into a network port and messed up the pins inside the port - which meant that the network port would not work at all as some pins were bent and some were touching.
Press the GREEN button!!
First....you didn't answer the question as to whether the machine was previously working and has since stopped, or if you have acquired the machine and are having a problem getting it setup. I imagine that it's the latter.
On the configuration page under "interface Information" is there a 'network range' set?
If so, that's the issue
