So what happens when you print something that you HAVEN't Scanned?
Because it appears to me that the line on the scanned image is the edge of the paper due to either a slightly reduced image OR registration , and the line on the printed image is SAME LINE because you are printing the image reduced even more, If I select "none" under "scale "in the paper paper handling section of my PDF veiewer the line is gone because the margins are wider
C'mon man, this is the most basic troubleshooting there is!

I apologies for my poor skills in ricoh,
however the line appears only in MPC series ,meanwhile i tried to make a scan on aficio mp c2551 no line at all on any edge, that why i'm asking how to solve this issue,
my question is there any way to make a scan without a line appear on the edge ,our i have to convince the buyer that is normal??

    thanks to ur kindness

It's probably a scan size setting in the user tools that's if it the same from glass and df but if only happens from df it could be registration settings in service mode

So you have yet to even respond to ANY of the suggestions you've been provided by several people!
I'll ask you again....Is the registration off? Adjust it in SP mode!

Is the image reduced? ( My bet is that it is)
Make a copy through the ADF and then hold it up to the original and check Registration AND magnification.
I bet that the copy is reduced 2-3mm...thus the line (edge of paper)
If so, Adjust ADF magnification in SP mode (6xxx) by about -1%.

EDIT: I forgot to add that the reason I returned to this thread is that I literally had (what appears to be) this exact issue on an MP C3003 that I just picked up today. I Adjusted ADF magnification. All good
