Its possible the login button wont be there in User Tools. Youll need to go into the Adminstrator Tools tab and turn on Administrator Authentication in this case.

The Login/Logout button s a physical keyboard switch. It is always there.

That is why I asked him if he had the SOP.

Press User Tools button (Third Button on the right...has a small 123 on it)
Press Login Button (Second Button on the right...has a key icon on it)
Login as admin, system settings, administrator tools, administrator authentication management.
Disable the settings that require administrative login.

Or somebody just customized the admin functions and has created a separate profile for an administrator.
and BTW, do you have admin access to the machine?
