MPC306 printing & scanning WIFI

HI,

Not much experience on using WIFI on this device, but

when I activate WIFI modus, I can print from any PC to the MPC306 using only the WIFI mode.

But when I try to scan (and also use webinterface) it doesn't work !
Trying the webinterface I get no connection on any browser

trying to scan to email it says "wating"

So I can print, ping also works . . . . anything to do with Firewall or proxy ??

If you're using the wifi in the panel, you can only print. You need the proper GW wireless option for full wireless functionality.

These machines don't have WiFi as standard the WiFi on the control panel {smart} is just for the panel you have to connect to a WiFi router then will print and scan WiFi if that's what you have done. It must not been set up correctly all ip and dns must be set up in interface section and the set up smtp in file transfer section. All this would be in the user guide

This machine has standard Wifi, you can search for wifi points, log in and make a connection with it.
It gets an Ip adres. Testing without cable and prints do come out.
But why does it not scan and make a login with the web interface . . . ?

The wifi in the SOP is not designed to be used with a PC etc however it does give you limited print functions but you are not using the GW Controller.

You will not be able to scan while connected this way SMB or email.

u can use WIM with machine connected to Wifi. U need to use non-standard port: http://[device ip]:53080
