👍...even we slightly younger techs still adopt this golden principle
A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

I'm not saying that I don't trust the customer (extreme sarcasm)...I'm just saying....trust but verify.

Edit: When I walk thru the door of a customer's office, I'm like a private detective of the copy machine. I'm asking all kinds of questions of the customer. First I address the reason I was called out there. Then I ask if there are any other problems..no matter how slight. I try to ask as many folks as possible. Then I check all the machine logs to see if it matches up with what I'm told.

From there I try to make the machine reproduce the problem that was reported. Then I check everything on the copier. All the paper trays, DF, finisher, duplex, ect. ect.

The cutomer will tell you all kinds of sh!t. The machine don't lie.
that reminds me.. Columbo is on tonight

Go to "WIM", set up "auto email notific", mark "when jamming"...

We also had a few customers whom could have sworn that the machine have jammed, although it was not registered in the smc data repport...

    ????

As slim mentioned: which counter at "Jams at power on"?

i have the same problem at a customer, random duplex jams in the inverter section, already changed the inverter section, but the random jams remains, they are very random..sometimes once a day or so, sometimes more, logging a "duplex exit jam"...maybe some sensor???

Two things here, First what is the jam code, Second you should probably start your own tread.

Yes... If everything works fine, the paper comes out from the exit section for ca. 15cm,then goes back in the machine for duplexing......but before it is about to jam,the paper comes out only 1 or 2cm...and then jams... I find the paper folded on the fuser unit
