I have had strange problems when all three were set the same. Gets even worse when auto logoff is also set to the same time.

What version is your power Saving sys on?

I usually turn off JAVA with SP 5730 set to 0 this can help with various issues.

That troubleshooting document would be much more useful if someone would remove all of the entries that relate to firmware. Then they could just say "Update firmware and if still a problem, refer to the document."

    I would do all this
    Reset in factory 58xx 0x6
    Format hdd
Clear nvram all apart from 1&2
    Reset up machine from scratch
    Turn of java
    Update all firmware
If you need java update java firmware

    Good luck
    Regards Mark

You have this list in the wrong order.

Update ALL firmware, then java before you start clearing anything.

I prefer to update firmware after clearing parts of nvram etc it's never given me any problems unless you can tell me what the difference would be.

Quite simply because its the quickest & easiest first step to update firmware before clearing settings & as you you say "Reset up machine from scratch"

Thumbs up Re: MPC2003 Won't wake up from sleep.

After again checking the firmware was up to date, I changed all time out settings, turned off Java and rebooted machine. Still machine wouldn't wake up from sleep. I then tried to do a complete reformat of the HDD, the screen just froze for ever and a day. After rebooting the machine I then formatted each partition of the HDD in turn, rebooted again. You've guessed it - normal operation has resumed !!!!!!

Many thanks to all for your contributions.
