    toners not set....

    Hi out there,
have had some issues lately with MPC4503/5503 copiers with the display indicating ALL the toners are not set correctly. I remove the toners, check the chips are clean and replace them, but the message will not go until you reboot the machine. This has happened even when the toner chips are clean, but usually happens when a toner is changed. I have checked the board on the back of the machines, and this is ok, with all the contacts nice and clean and intact, the machine just seems to lock out. Have looked at the service bulletins but there doesn't seem to be anything on the subject....

BTW happens on Ricoh toners and also on compats ....

    Any ideas?

Over to the wise minds in the either.....

    Kind Regards

    Steve

I have had to replace a BRB pcb 2 times in the last year due to odd issues like you are experiencing. They do fail.
