    MP 301SPF Toner Density/High Background

I am trying to find a solution to keep this model running like it's
predecessor MP 201SPF. After 10K. prints from PCU replacement
a heavy background appears in front and rear page.

    I change some settings :
SP 2932 Toner Density Control from 0 (normal) to 4 (lighter)
SP 2921 Toner Supply Mode from 0 (normal) to 2 (fixed)
SP 2922 Toner Supply Time from 0.5sec (normal) to 0.3sec (less time "on")
SP 2927 ID Sensor control from 1 (yes) to 0 (no)
I have no results till today
Does anyone works on or have a solution to this problem?
Thanks a lot for any input.

If you're using the D127xxxx PCDU.....you will generally only get 10 - 15k from those units.
Use the 411844 PCDU's. RICOH doesn't make these anymore, so we get them from an aftermarket supplier.
Nothing you can do except replace that PCDU unit.

What to you think make's the difference between 411844 and D127-xxxx?
The only thing i would suspect is the TD Sensor, or not?

Re: MP 301SPF Toner Density/High Background

    I'll write everything at once.

    Check the Vt value.
If Vt is normal (about 2,5v) - developer is dead.
You can replace PCDU or replace the developer to type 28, but only 270g from package.
Also inspect and clean gears and bearings of augers into the developer unit.
If gears are broken, replace them whit a compatible one.
Gears and bearings must be lubricated.
    After replacement initialize the developer.

if Vt is less than 1, you have overtone.

Do not use PCDU from 1515 in MP301 because the developer is different

P.S. sorry for my english, this is not my native language.
