    Hello

It's normal that the bottle rotates in that way, because the toner falls in the toner hopper, and only from there in the development unit, this is caused by Td/Id sensor readings, the rotation of the bottle by the toner end sensor in the hopper unit.

Light copies are a big problem in this machines, is the toner original? The developer new? Drum original? Also clean the exhaust filters and check the transfer unit, if the belt is dark brown change it, change or clean the bias roller. Check the RTB's for "Light copies", use the search function here, they was posted here time ago.

More often than not when any martini model when you start experiencing light copies the ID sensor for the PCU is dirty. It is located on the PCU frame directly below the drum cleaning station. If toner is leaking from the cleaning entrance seal, the ID sensor get coated with toner. This causes the image to look darker so ProCon thinks the machine is over toned. SP 3001-001 will be high possibly at or near 255.

Make sure the filters are clean. Dirty filters cause a high temp situation in the cavity causing CQ issues and failure of the toner supply unit. I have seen toner cake in the hopper causing it to eventually lock up. Fresh developer would probably help, too.

It is debatable as to how good this series is. I don't think they are very good machines. Look at the MP6055, and the MP C6004, now those are good machines.

Let's give them a few years. The basic mechanics of the martini series has been in use for over two decades.

How about the MP 6054 and the MP C6003, basically the same machines and have been around for quite a while now. Ricoh has a lot of good machines, but I do not consider the MP 6500 one of them.
