    MP3055,3555,4055,5055&6055 series pcdu's

    Hi All,

I don't know if anyone's noticed or had same issue, but these pcdu's are suppose to do 160k. However alot of them aren't going the distance. I am changing them at roughly 100k-120k.

Are you using Ricoh toner? Mine last between 200-250k and we use M9550127.

Yes we are using genuine ricoh toner (Toner types MP6054S and MP3554S). Does that part M9550127 work on the MP3055 series?

It does indeed, you just need to change the front and rear plates around and the TD sensor harness.

The drums are rated for 120k on the MP2555, MP3055 and MP3555. That's about the distance they go. On the MP4055, MP5055 and MP6055 by the time they get to 160k the machines usually have lines on the copies.

Are they doing a lot of 1 or 2 page jobs? If they are, you will not get the stated life.

    +1 on this.
    35 and lower = 120k.
    40 and above = 160k.

We usually go above yield on the slower speeds, and right at yield usually for the higher speeds.
Placing them in the right environment is KEY!
    Under-used = lower yields.
Haven't really had any problems with "over-used" machines.....seems to run better that way. We have one at a tax/ cpa office that has almost 2 million on it (5055), parts always went to yield, and minimal problems elsewhere ( just calls for squeaks mostly!).
