    Does the machine achtually try and add toner if you re-insert the toner bottle? I think there must occure a specific message on the display. Bottle might be flagged as empty so the MFP refuses to start adding toner. In this case the engine data reset will indeed do the trick and unlock the bottle again. I can also recall several cases where it did the trick like Oze did. You can perform nv ram backup/restore via sd card so trying this won't cause you any trouble.
