I also never had this message before.
The message is on the MFP side, underneath the display and in WIM, home screen.
I think it is due to the USB cable (which now have been disconnected for no longer use).
The network is a pc win10 and an old pc xp, due to very old software program.
Customer don't use a satellite or something like that, he says.
    Firmware is up to date.
We never had this message in our office, that is why i think the usb cable has provoked that.
I will ask Ricoh for further info about this.
    Keep you informed.
    Thanks for your help.

Is it SCC or CSS? If it's CSS I've seen this before, it's an SP mode. I'll have a look and see if I can find out what it is.

    Edit -

    5816 1 I/F Setting
Turns the remote diagnostics off and on.
    [0~2/1]
    0: Remote diagnostics off.
1: Serial (CSS or NRS) remote diagnostics on.
    2: Network remote diagnostics.

Set SP5816-001 to off or 2, I think it may be on 1.

I've mis-typed it in one of my earlier replies, sorry. It is SCC. But i will try your suggestion anyway!
    Thanks.

We had accasional cases where the MFP sitched off it's NIC - I think it's in user tools-> admin setting and somewhat IEE... Interface active/inactive setting.

    This we already tried:
Machine had also USB cable plugged in, unplugged it. Using another LAN cable. Machine off and back on. Deleted the print que. Removing and re-installing the driver.
We do have a good WIM connection (even log in). Only the yellow LED light on the LAN cable interface is on. The print stays in the que but scanning is no problem.

    Thank you for your help.

I would try the first thing, I go there, with a laptop and a cross cable, then, try to replace the hdd, sometimes they make really weird jokes (especially when the mc is moved / transported), then I would try sp 5- 801- (nic, printer eccept engines)

    regards

Guys! I'm looking for a reliable POE cable tester that guarantees accurate results the first time? Don't want to waste time on low quality hardware if the website offers high quality testers to help you get the job done right?
