    SP8400 vs MP5055

    Howdy folks

Anybody put the PCUDU & fuser from a MP 5055 into the printer SP 8400?

On the copier version i can replace the fuser for basically the same price as rebuilding it but on the printer it's almost double. Drum is stupid expensive as well on the printer.

    Thanks

Not sure on the fuser, never tried it. I carry the M9550127 printer PCU and fit it to the copiers, you just swap the front and back plates and the TD sensor harness over. Never tried fitting an copier PCU to a printer.

Are the sleeve and pressure roller really that expensive?

I can replace a copier fuser around $454. I can rebuild around $430 so you can guess which happens.
The PM kit for the fuser on the printer is around $900..... I can rebuild around $430

Just looking closer at the 3d parts guide, the drum and fuser do look pretty different in comparison. Thats unfortunate.
