    Enquiry

    Team.
We got few old & used C 6004 machines from one of our supplier.

Some machines do not boot up to Ready, only startup screen with Ricoh text. no further initialization of components.

Two machines gets ready and I am able to make copies, but printer feature not available. If I go to maintenance mode in user tools, it shows only copy ACC and not Printer ACC. Machine does not responds if tried to access from browser if IP given, but it pings to machine IP.

Any suggestions, inputs will be very much appreciated
    Thanks

Can you post a pic of the machines that don't boot up?

The two machines that don't show the printer ACC have had a fiery previously installed, so change the fiery installation setting in SP mode & you will be able to access the WIM.

    Set SP5895-01 & 02 back to 0.

For the one that did not startup fully, how long did you wait? If they have JAVA installed and the default function is a JAVA app, it can take in excess of 5 minutes for JAVA to finish initializing and then additional time for the app to load and initialize.

    Team
Thank you all for your suggestions & support. I will Try that all & get back to you.

I am very much comfortable on Xerox & Konica Minolta color MFPs. For Ricoh I have some experience on C2003 and C2011 color MPs.
Since C6004 is first case, instead of doing some silly things on the machine, I thought I will take advice from the group.

I did quick scan in service manual but could not see clear setting as : Printer - Enable /Disable.

I overlooked DFE setting in SP mode, IN Konica Minolta it is Controller = 0 /1 / 2, one can choose. any two at a time ( two different ports )
    Thank you all for Support,
I will check & Revert back.

It is not called Printer - Enable/Disable. What copier tech mentioned was fiery. Often the installation instruction for a fiery is not in the main service manual as the specific fiery controller may very by global region. It is included with the fiery controller. What you need to check is SP 5193 [External Controller Info. Settings]. It should be set to 0 unless there had been an external controller installed. If it is set to 1 for EFI then it had a fiery, EFI makes the fiery. One other problem you might run into if it had an external controller is that on some factory installed fiery is that the GW controller has been removed.

Also...as Copier Tech already asked...a picture of the the stalled screens would go a long way to making it easier for us to help you help yourself
