My Ricoh MP4045 error code sc997. Help me, how to fix this problem ?

SC 997 is normally an error with the currently selected application or function. If it occurs at power up it could a problem with the default function or home screen. It could be caused by a bad memory dimm, the HDD or corrupted firmware.

Do you use any extended function? Any Java application? Try to disable java in user tools or in SP mode 5-730-001 = 0

Is this an unrecoverable error or intermittent?

Either way update the firmware that should help.

the sc997 code on the technical manual of that model does not exist, I have not found it, it stops at sc995-04, which are all errors inherent to the serial number, and components, have you mounted any boards of another model?

It is in the manual I have

Good advice from all!
I would just add that it seems to me that the ONLY ones that are actually reading the manual are the responders, and that would be my 2 cents worth of advice for the poster as a good place to have started.

That is where I started. In fact I was about to ask if the original poster had a manual until I noticed that there was no SC997 in the version of the manual that I have. So I then checked Gooses Guide. Apparently anothertech has a newer version of the manual than either luca72 or I.
