Ricoh MP C306 & Android Clients

I'm wondering what's the best option to integrate Android clients to the MFP.

I need scanning & printing, I've installed the "Ricoh Smart Device connector" app which always demands me to do the QR + Direct WiFi dance.

The printer is connected to my LAN already.

The last I heard Smart Device Connector scanning the QR code every time is only required when using an iPhone. Assuming the you LAN has a WIFI access point, AP, you do have to connect to the AP first. Then assuming that the SOP has been properly programmed you should be able to add the C306 as an available device for selecting from the print utility and scan utility portions of SDC by connecting to the SOP with either Bluetooth or NFC. Worst case scenario is you will have to manually add the C306 to available devices by IP address.

Since The C306 doesn't support Airprint as slim said you can use the Ricoh app, just add the print via ip, the app basically acts like a driver.

I've set a few up like this works great.

Hello, at the end went with Ricoh Smart Device Connector: RICOH Smart Device Connector - Apps on Google Play

It supports only printing adding the machine by hostname, and only with the "share" function. Tried with Mopria to get native printing support, but without luck.

Try adding the machine via IP address?

Last time I tried Smart Device Connector, I used it to successfuly print to an MP161.

Nice software, but a little bloated, in my opinion. Could use with something simpler and that used Android's native printing abilities.
