Yes Win 10 does pick up some .exe files as a virus but you can simply mark it as ‘safe’ in security settings.

But as I said much easier to use the package file!

On the self diagnostic page on the mpc3003, this GWFCU number is nowhere to find. In fact there are only D147xxxxx numbers on that diagnostic page, not a single D149xxxx. So i suppose this firmware needs to be updated.
    But it fails, why?
My SD card is 100% ok and the root is
'folder romdata' 'folder mpc3003sp' 'GWFCU data'
    ???????????????
Previous i have update - first - the sys cop and after that the engine. Than this GWFCU.
I think this GWFCU holds an error!
I always have troubles with updating a mpc3003. I do not understand the reason.
How do you guys do this?
'folder mps3003sp' is not valid. It should be D149. There should not be any folders in D149, only .fwu files.

    Re: mpc3003 romdata firmware

I don't understand why, but the downloaded and unpacked .fwu map-files of the c3003 contained other map-files, so many that it went over the 100MB for 1 file (f.i. Browser) only!
I have deleted all those corrupt files and downloaded it again from the deeplink, and now it is ok.
    Virus?

Just use the package firmware it has gwfcu previous version also you don't need the folder mpc3003 just put the file in the romdata folder

    ???

This should be a very simple process.

The folders should look like this on your SD card. You can have both the package AND the romdata or either one on their own.

ALL should be on THE ROOT of your SD card. (Note the file size of these pictures all way under 1mb)

If you are not updating the firmware to resolve a specific fault I would stop attempting now.
It seems you this maybe beyond your capabilities.

No, i have erased my previous input (my part in your posting), I made a mistake there. It's getting on my nerves, i can tell you!

    Re: mpc3003 romdata firmware

I'm struggling with the virus in the RPCS file; win 10 doesn't want me to download it, even after de-activating the firewalls!
I have opened my old lap top now and win7 doesn't make a point of it.

You might want to give up on this it’s sounds to me like it is beyond your capabilities.

If I were the OP, I'd start over and follow copier tech's instruction word for word. The man knows firmware and that's a fact.
