    Thanks again
I should've read me up on the working principles of this area of a laser printing machine.

So, this can be a problem even if everything on the printer is within spec?
One way to circumvent it could be to print SEF in such a case I guess?

I had a look at the PM counters, all PCDU unit except the black one have been replaced only 20K pages ago. One of them has a replacement counter of 5, dont know if it have in fact been replaced four times though.
To answer your question, yes, one way to circumvent this problem is to run it SEF so the heavy line is not always in the same place. This can sometimes get you by for quite some time until you eventually replace the PCU.

I Gotta chime in on these as i sold a lot of them and outside of the crappy trays, and right door plastics found the drums to be solid.
You can mod the "hard" charge roller but dont touch the soft charge cleaning roller as the will fall apart. If you use a soft paint brush you can clean the drum blade and then use yellow toner to lubricate it by dusting the drum lightly and turning drum in the "correct" direction.I actually saved a lot of these drums in case i needed them but might have only 3-4 of these models in the field.
