MP C2503 evenly spaced black bars on prints and copies

Customer called about this and when I went to check it was working fine.
Just sent me a text with doing again, had them print a counter sheet and it was on that too.
Paper is from drawer 1, 11x8 1/2 direction.
Any idea on what it would be and apparently only intermittently at this point.
    Thanks.

what is the mm spacing from one line to the other?

what are the page counts on the service parts?

    is the unit clean inside?

what attempts have you made to fix the issue?

It is approximately 1.5 inches (38mm) between lines.
Total page counts are 13,000 color and 34,000 B&W.
Very clean inside, all I did was pull all the drum units to see if there was anything obvious since it was working fine the whole time I was there.

I would check and clean the contacts on the black charge roller. Not much else that comes to mind with roughly that size spacing. If there's nothing visibly strange on charge I'd switch Bk PCU with different colour to see if the issue follows the PCU or stays the same and take it from there

So that would put the lines across the direction on travel and spaced about the diameter of the drum. Did the machine spend a length of time likes weeks where it wasn't in use. If so it could be from the lubricant application brush setting against it. What are the PM counters and % of usage on both count and rotations. Remember, the K PCDU is used for color as well as B/W pages. So if those counts are from the counter sheet, the true count on the K PCDU is 47,000.

Only 34k but I’m going to try it anyway since it makes the most sense by the spacing.
    Thanks.

Do not base PMs on counter sheet numbers. Use the actual PM numbers in SP mode. In a low usage machine use the rotational % not the page counts.
