Ricoh 201spf can't change paper size in tray 2

I am working on this machine and trying to put a second drawer on it. I tried to change the paper size from 8 1/2 x14 to 8 1/2 x 11. Machine is saying you can not perform this task privileges are required to us this function. . I went into admit and tried to change it again and it went back to the same message. I have a different 201 in my office and I put the second drawer on it and was able to change it with no problem. I have never seen this before. Any idea's?

Have you tried changing it via WIM logged in as admin? Sounds like some sort of device/machine administrator blocking you

Make sure you are logged in as the correct administrator. It is possible to create 4, 5 if you count supervisor, administrators.

• User administrator
• Machine administrator
• Network administrator
• File administrator

Agreed...seems an awful lot of the threads these days are administrator authentication issues.
Blows my mind that some have made it all the way to 2021 without having running across it before.
I've had to deal with some form of authentication/ security on nearly every machine I've picked up for resale for the last number of years.

On my KonicaMinolta machines user can be restricted to change things like paper size and paper weight...and for good!
