Greetings
I am posting this here as i have to either swap this printer or update the FW and see if that does the trick.
I dropped off a printer to an account spc435 dn with low meter and 4 weeks later they are getting sc 899 code that does not clear..
I dont have the SPC 435 manual but read sc899 on the spc430 could be corrupted FW.
Anyone able to provide me this FIRMWARE I appreciate it much.

I don't know that there's any silver bullet type solution for this issue.
On other models F/W has been introduced to improve/ reduce the frequency of SC899's.
When you say the problem doesn't clear, does that include rebooting it with the Network cable disconnected?
If it only comes back when the cable is reconnected then there is a corrupt job in someone's printer queue that is causing it.
I had a situation several months back on a C3503, with the same code.
This is a finance company that used to have about a dozen or so people in the office, but now it's basically the owner, and some others trickle in and out from time to time.
I updated the F/W, and drivers, had him print several different file types and couldn't duplicate the issue. I even removed the fax unit that they don't use, because I found some posts that indicated it may be the cause the problem.
2 days later I get a call for the same thing. I went back, not knowing exactly what I was going to do. Shortly after I arrived, another agent came in, and almost immediately after turning on his laptop, the data light flashed and SC899 popped up.
So it ended up being a job he had tried to print days earlier that remained in the queue, and continued to cause an issue even with updated F/W, and only shear LUCK that that person arrived at the right time, because the owner was already at a point of frustration and asking for my plan to resolve the issue once and for all.
In the end, I updated the driver on his laptop - which actually hadn't been done since the machine was upgraded a few years ago from a C3300, and the issue hasn't returned.
I'm not sure if that info will help, but it's just something to think about. The customers ALWAYS blame the machine, and almost NEVER provide ALL of the relevant information. (In my case the owner had told me that no one else had been in the office).

i just now swapped that machine.an hour ago.
PITA ricoh bs with the non TONER compatability between spc430 and spc440 or spc430..
I had delivered this and installed with proper space to breathe.
I go and find it jammed to the wall and against a 55cpm big b/w.
Machine felt like an oven..
I pretty much told them this it if they do not allow proper venting.
It comes back no more free rides..
I have yet to even bother with the spc435 yet and might just gut it for mpc401 rebuilds..

Anyway, you guys didn't watch Football aka Soccer but here we have now watching EU championship. Just play Hungary vs Portugal and watch 60000 fans at stadium...now we have hope some day things will be back to norm!

That's pretty true. I'm mostly a Raps fan as it relates to the NBA. I'm more of a hockey guy - even with the infuriatingly quick exit of my Leafs.
I found the return of sports a much needed distraction from all of the other stuff - although I didn't find it nearly as compelling without fans. That energy is an important element for me - even when I'm just watching from my couch, so it's nice to have things slowly returning to some semblance of normal
