My suggestion is that, you can disable the duplex unit from the machine.
Or
Go to it's printer properties on computer, click on device setting, you will see installable option, now put duplex to "Not-Install"

LOL that's my favourite kind of customer. Always a joy if someone suddenly comes around with some "bonus missions" on site, especially if they point you to issues you might have needed to prep some parts in advance.
"Oh you can't fix this right now? Thought you might have a replacement for the broken tray front cover in your car stock so I didn't mention it on the phone...
We had a customer that had 15 units over 4 floors. Id show up in the morning for a small PM then wouldn't leave until after lunchtime after looking at 5 other machines. One day, came across a machine I didn't even know was there. It was a Sharp b401, was TRIPLE its PM cycle, and the fuser still worked.
If you remember that model, those fusers were lucky to last until the weekend !
I kinda like those moments though, cruising the building, being a hero...makes for a satisfying day.

Reminds me of Columbo, " One more thing sir"
