Aficio MP C2500 - What causes this printing errors?

    Hi,

I am having printing errors on my prints/copies. There are 3 dots and a slight stripe (barely visible) in regular intervals visilbe on every page A4 & A3

See attached Scan of a test print.Ricoh Print Error - Scan 20210617113023983.pdf

I've cleaned the PCU main roller several times, however they continue to persist.

Where could they come from? How do I troupleshoot/fix it?

My first guess would be the black drum being chipped if I'm correct assuming the paper was fed SEF/Landscape

*Edited a brain fart, SEF is not portrait

yup just check the diameter of the drum and the distance between the repeating pattern - boom

Something like that should be easy to see on the black drum and verify.

You can use either B224-2042 or D029-2256 on this model; the B224 is cheaper, but has a lower life.

I loved the D029 2256 pcu, it had something like 50% extra life for about 20% extra cost. Slightly different modifications, cutting off corner of back and swapping 2 cables etc Those were the days
Now the new colour machines just slide in new parts and no rebuilding.
Anyway yeh that looks like black pcu all day long, you can essentially roll up that paper so 1 row of dots lines up with the other. The paper roll will be the same diameter of the drum.
