Ricoh MP C4504 color registration issue

I have an MPC 4504 that fails when attempting colour registration. SP2111 C works fine for a course adjustment but fails on A or D. We have replaced the ITB and Cleaner, also the ID sensors. Ive also worked through all of the countermeasures listed in the service manual with no improvement. Now looking at replacing a possible laser unit, BCU or IOB. Has anybody else seen this before?

What sort of life are the drums and devs on? When you print out a test pattern does it look like any particular colour is out of registration more than the others?

Many years ago there was a post from someone that I made note of, that I refer to as "Advanced Line position Adjustment".
It was originally for really old machines like the MP C3500's, etc, but I used it several times through at least the '01 series colour units with success.

Look for my post on this thread. While it didn't work in this case, it can't hurt to try.

Did you replace the entire ITB assembly or just the belt? Ricoh has had problems in the past with belts slipping on the assembly.

When you replaced the ID sensor was it a new assemble or did you take it from another machine. A new assembly comes with a sticker that has the values for SP3-333, SP3-334 and SP3-335. If those are not correct you will get errors.

You still have not answered TonerMunkeh's question. Drums or development units that need to be replaced will cause procon errors. Under toned developers will causes errors as the ID sensor cannot read the patches clearly.

Perhaps the original poster has found a solution, but he's apparently to selfish to share it

This week I had this problem the order that fixed it for me was force line adjustment c then a in that order then colour registration adjustment worked
